The topic for October is mental health. We will also be choosing our 4 quarterly topics for 2020. Meeting from 7-8pm, with mingling and networking til 9pm.
The topic for July is immigrant rights/support. Meeting from 7-8pm, with mingling and networking til 9pm
The topic for April is environment/sustainability/climate change. Meeting from 7-8pm, with mingling and networking til 9pm. Nominate a nonprofit for this category.
The topic for January is homelessness. Meeting from 7-8pm, with mingling and networking til 9pm
At our kick off event on October 16, we will launch the idea behind our giving circle and choose the 4 quarterly giving themes for 2019. The group will be asked to put forward ideas for Seattle issues we should address (ie, homelessness; pay equity; whale population decline) and the group will vote on their top two topics of interest.
From this voting we will establish the issues we wish to impact, and starting in January 2019, the group will review 3 nonprofit organizations addressing the first issue, and members will vote which agency should receive a +/- $10,000 gift.
If you are unable to make this kick-off event, no problem! Please fill out your membership form so we know you’re interested, and join us on January 10, 2019.
